This
is my 3rd triangle trifold card, instead of tying the card with

One layer - week 110
this week in Less is More blog challenge is to create one layer. Yes, you read me right! one layer paper only. What a challenge.
Yessss... It is very very challenging to create one layer card, so I embossed it using sizzix embossing plate. first, I smeared pink ink on the inside plate and put a die cut bracket in the middle. After I got a notebook effect, I then run the card with bracket inside using sizzix big shot to get an embossed effect. Stamped floral and sentiment: happy birthday. For the spots I used embossing pen then brush it with dry chalk. I must admit I tend to get overboard :-/ so this card doesn't look as simple and clean as I want it to be.
this morning, after dawn prayer and done with ironing, I sit and make some cards. As I was looking at the dots and the embossed line on the card I made, it struck me that it looks right for LIM's week 110 challenge.
It's a really tricky one this week girls!
Not only is it
ONE LAYER,
but we are also asking you for
SPOTS and STRIPES
If we could use papers it would be easy, right?
We know you'll come up with some fabulous designs and are really looking forward to seeing what appears.
so this is my take on this week challenge, this is my second card. the first one was really a no no :p

using a stitch stamp I stamped a few lines to make stripes. well finally, I did create something simple with just one layer of paper and stamps and inks

i {heart} sketches #4
this year I'm trying to craft and blog more. yep, the hardest part is "to blog more". I like to browse internet for ideas and inspiration and been meaning to join a crafty challenges hosted by so many crafters out there. I will print them or draw or just write down notes on them but I never (almost) get around in making them :p
today I happen to see this sketch challenge from (i {heart} sketches) and it looks easy and delightful indeed (minus the digi stamps) so I made this card with leftover papers I can find in my office table drawer.
so here is my take. I love how simple and clean it looks. Maybe I will make another card with this sketch. maybe...

Challenge
This is my first challenge (I think) to use a limited papers and embellies. Usually I would take out all my stash to create a layout and ended up with lots of things on my table and floor.
I had a very hard time doing it so I congrat myself, I DID IT!!
and, I just found Shimmelle's blog. I always love her creativity from SB Inspiration magz. So this LO fits the challenge - to " Use patterned paper for your page background"
Scrapbooking Day Challenge 1: Use patterned paper for your page background. Pretty simple! You can follow this page if that helps or you can create something completely unique – as long as the background is a sheet of patterned paper rather than solid cardstock, then you’re all set.
so here is my take..
